Music For The City

MUSIC FOR THE CITY IS A COMMUNITY OF ARTISTS AND AUSTINITES INVESTING THEIR TIME AND TALENT TO BE A POSITIVE, CARING, AND RENEWING INFLUENCE IN OUR CITY. In our first year over 50 Austin artists, ranging from musicians, photographers, graphic designers, painters, and dancers, served in our "Art of Giving" program. Now into our second year, our artists are volunteering through mentorship and art education at The Austin Childrens Shelter and The East Austin Boys and Girls Club. In May of 2010 we released Music For The City Volume 1, a compilation album featuring Austin artists, benefiting The Austins Children Shelter and Safeplace. This October we are set to release Music For The City Volume 2, benefiting Mobile Loaves and Fishes.
